Memorable Marks with “Little Dave” Parker

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010 by Little Dave Parker

Wed-Thurs:

Had the day off, so I hiked up Runyon Canyon…now let me say that I understand not everyone is as in shape as I am, but I wish they would bulldoze a new path that would challenge us “fortunate ones.” I would also appreciate ash trays along the path so I have somewhere to take my smoke breaks. In the meantime, I asked an overweight lady and her slightly obese daughter if they’d like a tandem piggyback ride up to the top…they were struggling already so they were happy to accept my offer, and I was finally going to get a workout. After taking some pictures at the top, I treated them all to In N Out…where I tried to influence and motivate healthy eating habits by refraining from ordering anything “animal-style.”

Fri:

Back to work: always fun at True Tattoo(hollywood)…always something to see or do. Today, for instance, I saw the WORST TATTOO OF THE WEEK: it wasn’t done in our shop, mind you…somewhere at Wilmington Swap Meet, I believe. Let it be a lesson that when you’re not willing to pay for good artists, you get bad tattoos. Or backwards Superman logos.

I also finished a tattoo that I’m very proud of, on my friend Jonny…it’s a memorial tattoo for his great aunt, who, in her later years, was prone to lighting candles in her rose garden and dressing up like the Blessed Virgin while listening to the first 2 Megadeth records. It’s a special feeling when you get to help someone remember a loved one.

Saturday:

After work went to check out my old friends Murder By Death at The Troubadour. it had been a while since they’d been through on tour, so it was a good visit. While there, I finally got a decent picture of the greatest “best friend” tattoos ever: And yes, that’s my arm and their drummer, Dagan’s. What better way to celebrate brotherhood by paying homage to one of the top 5 greatest films of all time?

I also got to talk to my old friend, Benjamin…Ben’s an especially good friend because he has on him one of the first tattoos I ever did. And I beg his forgiveness every time I see him. Meh, what are friends for?

CONVERSATION OF THE NITE:

FAN-GIRL: I’m an artist. I love art. I really wanna get into designing album art…
BEN: Cool! I’ve done some of that. Like this record for instance, I did the cover for it.
GIRL: Wow, did you do that on Illustrator?
BEN: Nope. I carved it out of a block of wood.

by the way: have you ever seen subliminal messaging on a whiskey bottle? I have…

Sun-Mon:

There’s a lot of human interaction in my line of work, as one may imagine. I love meeting new people and getting to know them as I permanently mark their skin, but I also get a real kick out of tattooing people I already know. Like the time I covered up an ex-girlfriend’s name on Bryan Adams…sure, Brian and I have known each other for a long time, but it wasn’t until I tattooed him that I understood what he meant by “cuts like a knife.”

Or like today, when I tattooed my friend Mac, of the (in)famous Los Angeles rock n roll powerhouse The Letter Openers. Mac isn’t like a lot of my customers…he actually suffers from a rare blood disorder that causes his body to react oddly while getting tattooed. As a result, his body releases an unnatural amount of adrenaline and can only be counteracted with an equally extreme depressant. My solution is to go to a bar and drink copious amounts of alcohol while “dancing out” the rest of his adrenaline. It’s the least I can do for a loyal customer and good friend. Unfortunately, his condition also causes him to hemorrhage from his armpits, so his shirt was just ruined. All in all a good night, though.

Those were the highlights of my week…tomorrow nite I’m supposed to work a private tattoo party at David Copperfield’s house. Stay tuned for that.

Memorable Marks with “Little Dave” Parker

Tuesday, April 13th, 2010 by Little Dave Parker

Mon-Tues:

stretch fuck'n jeans and black gum

stretch fuck'n jeans and black gum

Slow days at work. The highlight of which was when I tried a stick of black chewing gum that I got from my old roommate’s heroin dealer. Totally lame, it just tasted like strawberries, not heroin. I hate getting ripped off. I just don’t trust drug dealers like I used to.

Then I tattooed my new friend Tim. Tim had a full japanese body suit tattooed on him for years, but decided he didn’t like it anymore and underwent an experimental acid removal process. He said it was painful and a little messy but cheaper and faster than laser removal.

Now that his skin has healed from the acid burn, he’s ready to start getting tattooed again. We’re starting with a Japanese Koi Fish. His sister and girlfriend came with him because they heard his tattoo artist was rich, good looking and brilliant. Whatever, I’ve been fed the same line since the time Belinda Carlisle and I were necking in the back seat of her ’86 TransAm…these chicks need some new material.

Wednesday:

I had a high-end dinner party to attend later that nite (for those of you who don’t live in Hollywood, high-end dinner parties are just something we have to deal with from time to time), so I decided to run to the Lip Service headquarters to pick up a fresh pair of sweet jeans. Kip Winger told me one time (drunk at the Rainbow) that “you can never have too many pairs of sweet jeans.” I figure if I can trust anyone, it’s him.

So as soon as I woke up at the crack of 3:30pm, I hopped onto the freeway where I sat in traffic for about 1.5 hours…not bad! I don’t know why everyone complains about driving in LA…especially when you can hear the same Bon Jovi song on the radio pretty much whenever you want. Some people are just impossible to please, I guess.

Anyway, I got downtown, and by the end of the 2nd chorus to “Bad Medicine” I had found parking and was walking through the high-security gates outside the impenetrable fortress of fashion known as Lip Service/Kill City. I was greeted by the team of staff members that had assembled for my arrival…all of whom were gracious and respectful, except for Lacey, who started giving me grief for trying on pants without underwear. WELL EXCUUUUSE ME. I’m sorry that I’m not just another sheep in the herd of conventionalism that dictates the wearing of undergarments…but you can’t change me, baby. I’m a rebel. I can’t wait to tell Slash about this.

So after picking up a few hip-hugging pair of stretch denim beauties, I took off for my dinner party. I’d tell you what happened, but we already signed the exclusive story rights to TMZ. You’ll just have to wait for them to air it.

Thurs:

In an effort to cure my hangover from the previously mentioned dinner party, I decided to go drink with my friend Dirty Donny at our favorite sushi joint. It’s our favorite because they actually RESPECT artists, and show it by seating us before everyone else in line and serving us delicacies that AREN’T mentioned on the regular menu. It’s the little things that make this lifestyle a little less torturous, I tell you.

Later on, I had to run up to the recording studio…I know what you’re thinking: “Dave, you’re a TATTOO artist, not a RECORDING artist.” This is true, but when you’re a HOLLYWOOD tattoo artist, you have to make all sorts of appearances– or as I call them, “sacrifices.” In this case, I had to sit in as a guest vocal coach for a certain band that shall, for publishing purposes, remain nameless. Here’s a hint: it rhymes with “Letallica.” For those of you who have never spent time in a Hollywood Hills recording studio before, it was the typical cornucopia of intravenous drug use and promiscuous sex…neither of which I approve of, but hey, that’s the neighborhood. Boooring.

There aren’t any pictures because “Letallica” is very camera shy.

Friday/Saturday:

Back to work.
A lot of people say that they could NEVER work weekends, but they’re really just saying that they hate their jobs, and most likely, their own lives. I don’t mind tattooing on weekends…it’s a nice break from all the partying, which sometimes feels like my “real” job. Got to do some cool tattoos, like these black and gray angel wings on Ricky. She loved her tattoo so much she insisted on taking me out for drinks afterward. Now, other celebrity tattoo artists might frown upon drinking with clients, but I’m a nice person…what was I supposed to do, insult her by turning down free drinks? Yeah right, maybe if I was a total jerk.

Sun:

Today I got a visit at work from an old friend of mine, Ronald. He’s 7 years old, but he’s been tattooing his entire life, practically. Aside from being a great artist, he has some pretty good art on him. Now, before you jump to any conclusions, let me first say that I would never tattoo a child. It’s totally illegal in this state. But where Ronald’s from, they have different rules. Plus, his tattoos look really cool…and 1st grade chicks really dig dudes with tattoos. I understand he’s quite popular when he actually shows up at school.

Ronald hung out for a while, did a couple tattoos, and then had to catch a plane for a tattoo convention in Dallas. If you get a chance to get tattooed by him, I’d highly recommend it.

Well, that was my week. Not too exciting, I know, but hey, what do you want. I’m just an average dude with positive ‘tude. Thanks to Lip Service for the sweet threads…Winger’s gonna be so jealous.

East Coast Invasion From Outer Space With Ace Frehley Guitarist Todd Youth

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010 by Todd Youth

Todd Youth touring with Ace Frehley - On the Road with Stretch Fuck'n Jeans in the Lip Service webzine

see full size in gallery below

Greetings Lip Servants, Todd Youth here, with my first attempt at doing a blog. Some of you might know me already and, if you don’t, here’s a quick rundown. I’ve been playing in bands since I was 12, my first band I was ever in was Agnostic Front way back in 1983. I spent many years in Murphy’s Law, D-Generation, and Danzig, did some shows playing guitar for Motorhead, Glen Campbell, The Chelsea Smiles, and most recently I’ve been playing guitar with none other than ACE FREHLEY!!!!

Anybody who knows me, knows what a big Kiss fan and more importantly what a big Ace fan I am. Ace is the reason I started playing guitar many years ago. He has been the biggest influence on my playing ever since my Dad took me to see Kiss on the Dynasty tour at Madison Square Garden, so when I got the call to tour with Ace in Australia a few months back I jumped at the chance. I’ve known the bass player, Anthony Esposito (ex Lynch Mob), and drummer, Scotty Cougan (Brides of Destruction), forever, so it was a no brainer. We had a great time down under so I decided to stay on board.

Which leads us to our mini east coast tour. Flew out of Lax to NYC on St.Patty’s Day. Was hoping to go see my old band Murphy’s Law do their annual St.Patty’s show, but had to head on down I-95 to Connecticut for a day of rehearsal and then our first show at the Mohegan Sun Casino. Got a few hours sleep, headed down to the lobby of the hotel to score some coffee and ran into my old friend “Nitebob” who’s going to be doing sound for the run. Nitebob has been around a long time; he worked with the Stooges during the Raw Power tour, the Dolls, Aerosmith, the list goes on and on. We play catch up and he tells me about watching the Stooges rehearse for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, then it’s off to practice.

I help the crew guys set up, run a few songs, and wait for Ace to show up. Seems he missed his flight the day before and won’t be getting to the rehearsal till about 7p.m. One thing I’ve learned working with him is that you are know operating on Ace time. Anthony, me and Scotty run a few songs we haven’t done live yet and, before you know it, Ace Frehley has landed on planet earth. We decide what the set is going to be for the run and add 2 songs we hadn’t done before, Into The Void, which is off of Psycho Circus and Pain In The Neck, off Ace’s new record “Anomaly”. (If you haven’t checked out, Anomaly yet, do yourself a favor and pick it up, it’s right up there with Ace’s 1978 solo record.) We do a quick run through of the set, pack up the gear and head to the Mohegan Sun for a night of r-n-r.

Friday 3/19

After about 5 cups of coffee, I head on down through the casino to see how things are going with the set up and sound check, but I don’t have to look to far. Tonight’s show is free and there’s already about 200 to 300 fans waiting on line. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many Kiss shirts in my life. Ace isn’t coming to sound check, so we do Shock Me and I get to sing it. I never in my wildest dreams would have thought when I was a kid listening and staring at Kiss Alive II that I would be playing along side Ace Frehley. Ahh Rock and Roll has been good to me. The show goes off great and after I grab some dinner with my friend, John, who hosts “Talking Metal” on Fuse TV, then call it a night.

Saturday 3/20 House Of Blues Atlantic City

Meet up with everyone in the lobby for the ride to A.C. We stop on the New Jersey Turnpike somewhere near the shore for gas and coffee and, let me tell you, these people take that show “Jersey Shore” seriously. I swear, I think I saw Snookie standing on line at the Starbucks!!! Check into our rooms in Atlantic City, and off to sound check. My good friend Phil Caivano from Monster Magnet comes on down with a old Marshall amp for me to use – one of my Marshall’s wasn’t sounding right – so I owe Phil a big one!!!!

For all you gear heads out there, our backline with Ace is pretty big. Between me and Ace we have 12 4×12 Marshall cabs, 6 100 watt Marshal heads, 6 8×10 SVT cabs and 3 300 watt SVT amps … and all this stuff is live. When I played in Motorhead I thought that was loud, but onstage with Ace Frehley is twice as loud as Motorhead. Another killer show, got a great pic of me hold Ace’s “smoker guitar” during the Shock Me solo spot. After the show, hung out with a bunch of friends, my good buddy Jason Trioxin from Wednesday 13 had come down for the night. Did a little gambling and was up 100 bucks, so I called it a night. Want to be good and rested for the show in New York City.

Sunday 3/21 Nokia Theater Times Square New York City

There’s nothing like seeing the skyline when you’re getting close to the city and, as much as I love living in L.A., New York City will always be my home, which also means a big guest list. Between friends and relatives, I had over 25 people for the list but the tour manager was cool and made it work. I was so stoked to be playing in my home town with Ace Frehley, who’s also a home town boy. I just new this would be a special night and it was. From Eddie Trunk of That Metal Show introducing us and kicking into Rocket Ride to the last notes of Cold Gin, it was magic. I’ve done New York Groove with Ace in Australia and the other shows, but doing that song in New York was something else, one of the highlights of my career for sure!!! It was great to see so many old friends and family after the show. Jesse Malin, who I use to play with in D-Generation gave me a copy of his new record and all I can say is WOW, it’s some of his best stuff. Got to spend a great day off with my family and then back to L.A. to finish a record with my new band “The Royal Highness.”

Check us out at myspace.com/theroyalhighness, and be on the lookout for more Ace Frehley dates coming soon …

Bloody Knuckles, Bruised Thighs, and Broken Hearts…the Road to Texas

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010 by Rachael Rine

see full size in gallery below

Whenever you get home from a tour, everyone begs to know what “really happened” out there. Your best friend down to your favorite bartender all ask for the inside track. They need the stories you’d rather take to your grave. They want a glimpse of the glory. Everyone craves just a little taste of the kill. They want to swing on the fringe with you for just a moment before landing back on safe ground. Want no more, fashion fiends I’m here to scratch your itch. I tempt you with a sneak peak into the filthy looking glass of the Rock Roll road. I will warn you, it can get a little messy.

I will first give a bit of advice to all of those out there sitting at home punching a clock while your better half is “god knows where” doing “god knows what” for little or no money. Your lover may come home crying “it’s so hard, I’d rather be here with you than living like an animal”. They may tell you they hate it on tour and rally your sympathy. Remember this: they are lying. This is how we ease our guilt for having too much fun. Is it tough out there? Definitely! Is it fun? More than you can fathom!!! Those of us who choose this life would rather be on the road than anywhere else. When Rock & Roll hunger is in your blood, you must feed. We ARE the animals. The road IS our home. The insanity IS our way. We ARE the circus and this big top just destroyed Texas.

see full size in gallery below

We headed to Austin to play the Texas Rock Fest during SxSW and from the moment we rolled into town, the mayhem began. Motorhead was playing Stubbs in honor of the premier of Lemmy: The Movie . Watch the trailer and watch the whole film when it’s released. There is a lot to learn from this man and what most don’t know how funny he is. I’m always a sucker for a good laugh and Lemmy was kind enough to invite us to hang out on the Motorhead bus for a while with him before taking the stage. I love listening to his stories, he truly is one of a kind and one hell of a kind!! Thanks Lem! The show was insane and the Motorhead fans were even crazier. The night spilled over into some bar down the street where we ran into friends from from all over the country. Even the lovely Miss Shannon Sleaze of Gasoline Glamour was there. There are parts of the week that were a bit foggy, but how could I forget the insane rock & roll jewels from GG?!

The next two days the festival was booked with early Lip Service comrades like Faster Pussycat and LA Guns and up and comers like Crank County Daredevils, Lady Jack, Dirty Pearls, TLV, Denko Jones and many more. It was great to hang with all of our friends we love and adore and all the new troublemakers that jumped on board. We took over the streets of Austin. Hell was definitely raised but don’t fret, we buried the bodies where they’ll never be found.

see full size in gallery below

The rest of the tales are left to be told by the pictures. They shall remain nameless to protect the guilty. After all there is a code of touring – “what happens on the road – stays on the road”! You didn’t really think I’d reveal ALL my dirty little secrets, now did you? However, I will leave you with one piece of advice. If you ever wake up in the middle of the night with your guitarist palming your face and screaming, just roll over and go back to sleep. She’s just having a bad dream and you can laugh about it over bloody mary’s in the morning. Until next time underground lovers & style freaks.

PS- You may ask yourself, why Bloody Knuckles & Bruised thighs? Well, it is a lot of physical work and they just come with the territory especially when you’re clumsy like me. Broken hearts? Yes many were broken… mine by missing the Michael Monroe shows in LA and Austin. I’m going to go drown my sorrows in “Bangkok Shocks, Saigon Shakes, Hanoi Rocks” now. Xxo

Prima Donna – Back in LA, Rocking the Key Club (and Stretch Fuck’n Jeans)!

Monday, March 1st, 2010 by TheWebMistress

see full size in gallery below

LA’s Prima Donna, who went On the Road through Europe (then Asia!) in their Stretch Fuck’n Jeans supporting Green Day, are back home! We (the Webmaster and I) went to their homecoming show with our photographer hats on to watch them lay waste to the Key Club Saturday night. An awesome collection of supporting bands got the crowd warmed up for a killer show. And Kevin, Aaron, David, Erik, and Daniel gave the capacity crowd just that, a kickass set of glam-punk-infused rock n roll that pulsated with raw energy.

Here is a juicy taste of the show photos. Check out the full set at the PH photo page.

over and done

Hola internet dwellers,

It was a wicked fun and freezing tour, but now it is all over. Our last few stops were bloody amazing as well if I do say so myself. After our demo in New Hampshire, which happened to have one of the best picnic table to handrail set up ever, we ended up stayin at BK’s parents house. We partied the night away, which was wicked fun; thank you Mr and Mrs Kennedy for havin all of us over and have a killer party. The parks in Ohio were rad as well and I got to see my buddy Tim.

In Wisconsion we ended up havin two demos in one day! After the demos the locals brought us over to the Dust bowl where we skated for a few more hours. I ended up meetin a Madison punk rocker who hooked it up with a local zine and a demo tape of this band, the Aemobas.

Overall, the tour was a huge success and we all had a really good time. On our way back we picked up my lady babe in Arizona so we could hang out for a few days and after that I’ll be hanging out between San Francisco and San Diego skating a bunch, goin to shows and prolly buyin way too many records!!!

Until next tour…666

It’s officially freezing!!!

Thursday, February 18th, 2010 by Greg Harbour

Hellllllllllllooooo!!!

Sorry it’s been so long since my last blog, between being internet-less and breaking my iPhone while I was skating, I have been unable to blog! On the other hand the skating has been rad! We went to North Carolina where the park was in an enormous shed which didn’t provide any heat. The park ruled and the locals were wicked nice and they even had veggie burgers for the starving vegetarian on the trip!

Next we started driving up to Maryland where we got caught in that crazy snow storm and we got stuck on the highway for 3 hours! It was actually pretty fun though, we wandered around on the highway havin snowball fights between all the other cars that were in a dead stop. We had to skip our Maryland stop and go straight to New Jersey and skate one of my favorite parks on the trip at garden skate. After the demo, the shop owner introduced me to Mike Judge who was the lead singer of a late ’80s hardcore band, Judge, which if you haven’t heard you need to check out!

To check out all the photos go to 1031 Skates Tour Page

Tune in next week To hear about the last leg of the trip!

Meet Greg Harbour – Skater, Punk Aficionado, Candy Fan!

Thursday, January 28th, 2010 by TheWebMistress

Yeah, we’ve taken a little break in the action On the Road, but we’re screaming back with a fucking vengeance! We’ve followed around a few bad boy rockers, guitarist for hot goth band Crüxshadows, funky Green Day opener Prima Donna, even a rock violinist, but not really anyone outside the field of music. So we though it was about fucking time we did. Mind you, we’re still all about blazing, rocking music and the people who create it, but it was time to play on a different stage … or shall I say park?

Our next victim … *erm* blogger … is Greg Harbour, who you may well already know and love if you dig some killer skating. If you know Greg, kick ass! Enjoy the next few weeks riding along with him as he does his badass thing. If you don’t yet know Greg, here’s a little taste to get you in the mood for the madness we’ll be bringing your way as Greg takes over this little corner of the ‘zine and goes On the Road With Stretch Fuck’n Jeans. We are expecting some crazy-ass shit going on guaranteed … you’re not gonna want to miss it.

First, a little video eye candy … Greg’s part in Null Skateboard’s “Null and Void”

Greg’s part in The Denver Shop’s “In Full Color” – You also get some brief footage at the start of when the tricks don’t go so smoothly before checking out how Greg really rips it up.

We had the chance to ask Greg a few questions and this is what he had to say for himself …

LS: I read that you just graduated college. How hard was that to do with touring? And … so we’ll be cliché here … what’s your major?

GH: The hardest part of touring and going to school is actually going back to school and getting the semister started again, i enjoy learning but being on a skate trip is one of the best things ever so getting motivated to settle down and do school work was the hardest thing to do. And I majored in Political Science with a minor in Native American Studies; i figured i’m a pissed off punk rock kid and i just wanted to know more about why i’m so mad!

LS: Please tell everyone dreaming about touring, what it’s like being able to travel and skate? What has been the greatest moment of realization that it rocks to be you?

GH: Being able to travel and skate is bloody amazing! Basically we wake up, drive to a demo, skate and repeat, or when were on street skating missions we just wake up and skate, I love it. The craziest trip i’ve been on was when we went to the Caymen Islands last year to skate the black pearl, that is one of the best parks ever and when you’re not skating you can go swimming in the ocean!!!

LS: What is your favorite trick? What’s the holy grail trick, the one you dream of doing?

GH:Double miller flip front disaster to back smith revert kickflip to fakie

LS: You have some totally badass taste in music. Which one band of your favorites is the one that makes you want to strap everyone down and make them listen? What song of theirs would you play first?

GH: That is such a hard question, there are so many… Prolly “I’ve Had It,” by Black Flag. I know its typical but that band is so good, but heres a few bands everyone should listen to

-Negative Approach
-Tear it up
-Void
-The Rites
-Knife Fight

There are so many bands that are overlooked

LS: What do you think is the most important or interesting thing to know about you?

GH: I really have no clue… basically i skate, go to shows, listen to records, hang out with my lady, hang out with our dog, drink a ton of coffee, and eat waaaaaaaaaay too much candy!!!

Greg had a chance to send us an initial shout out from the road, with the subject “It’s bloody cold out!!”
“Soooooooooo… We just started our winter tour for 1031 skateboards, its wicked fun and wicked cold! So far we’ve only had 3 demos and all of them have ripped! Were on tour with a legendary punk rocker Bill Danforth who rules, he’s been talkin a bunch about how he grew up with the guys in Negative Approach! He’s got a bunch of rad stories, Were gettin ready to skate another demo in like 10 minuites so i gotta go but i promise the next update i’ll send a bunch of photos in so you can see me sucking in full color!”

Join us each Wednesday as we join Greg On the Road! In the meanwhile, here’s some more eye-candy!

Ciao Bella!!

Wednesday, December 16th, 2009 by Cassandra

DSC4175_2fcI’m kind of amazed at the fact that somehow my last tour entry and Prima Donna’s last tour entry are from the same amazing city.

DSC00128Zurich is awesome, and completely beautiful. Being from Florida I’m definitely not a huge fan of cold weather but when it started snowing little flurries today I couldn’t help but clap my hands and dance around like a fool.

Not that it’s any different than how I usually behave… J

This week has been one big drive and one big adventure, I’m glad that I could share it with all of Lip Service before the holidays!

We played two shows in Italy this week, one in Rome and one in Florence, both were well played and we all had a lot of fun; and I had the privilege of visiting Venice on one of our days of, where of course I had to get a Venetian mask! We spent all day trekking around Florence and visited the Duomo, the Academia, and the Uffizi. The Academia houses the original of Michelangelo’s David as well as some other unfinished works of his.

DSC00154The Uffizi is something completely different and totally awesome, filled to the top with Da Vinci, Botticelli, Caravaggio, and Rafael. You can tell that I paid attention in my humanities classes, yes?

In short, life dream come true. AND I ate REAL Italian food. Completely delicious!

The next set of dates are all in Germany and then on to a Happy Christmas with the Cruxshadows.

And so, with great love and faith, Happy Holidays to all the fashion addicts, and remember: If Santa’s beard doesn’t look real, you better check.

All the best,
Cassandra

Holly Jolly Holidays!

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009 by Cassandra

DSC09451It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. The holiday playlist has made it’s debut on the iPod in the van and most everyone has broken out their heavy coat and scarf.

First off, I think that London is probably my new favorite place on earth except for the driving on the wrong side of the road that I’m used to. Our show at the Academy was awesome, great crowd and staff.

My Lip Service jeans are definitely getting their wear on stage, I’m lucky that I’m not too clumsy because if I was, I’d be begging for another pair right about now.

We met up with our friends from Deviant UK in Liverpool and then continued our eight show streak into the Netherlands where we played the Winterborn festival with the Dreamside. Rogue made a special guest appearance with the band, performing “Open Your Eyes,” which he recorded with them in 2005.

There has been a collective cold circulating the group and I have definitely sneezed more in the last three days than I have in the past three weeks.

Our new video for the Quicksilver single has been released, many thanks to Marc Shahboz for producing it! It’s definitely awesome and was a lot of fun to film. I’m adding a photo from the video shoot so you can see what I had to dance on…:-)

After a lovely day off that we spent first travelling, and then on an outing to my first Kris Kringle market. It’s an open air market with lots of artisian crafts and knick-knacks that open all over Germany for the month of December. Note to self, Nutella crepes are the best treat ever.

Tonights show is in Nurnberg and I’m hearing the last beats of Ayria’s closing song, so it’s time to start throwing poses and taking names.

Until next time, all you fashion addicts!
